March 9Mar 9 comment_98332 As most of you know, FPDS and it's eZ Search were both decommissioned Feb 24, 2026. Award Data is now accessible at SAM.gov, but the eZ Search feature is no longer available (from what I can tell, and I'd be glad to be wrong). So, has anyone found something similar to the eZ Search tool at SAM.gov? The site does have features I find useful, but being able to quickly pull up all specific contracts based on DODAAC, NAICS code, vendor, etc. from a single search field is about as simple and helpful as it gets.If you know of an eZ Search equivalent at SAM.gov, please share. I regularly used it to look up CO names, contracts by NAICS, vendor, description, etc. I could pull bulk data to Excel and then drill down as needed.ThanksCoco Report
March 9Mar 9 comment_98346 Did you try the Search button at the top of the page? I click on Contracting on the pull down menu and can search for anything I might need. Report

Maybe I'm just missing it?Another option's the various reports under the Data Bank section, but the learning curve seems kind of high and while one-click reports are appealing, I do miss digging around in the results in Excel, if that makes sense. March 9Mar 9 comment_98361 Coco, you are correct—the FPDS.gov website and its companion ezSearch tool are no more, and the entry point for the system and the data are now through SAM.gov. While the old ezSearch tool was available to anyone with an internet connection, access to contract award data through SAM requires the user to be logged in. For those that are frustrated by that fact, USAspending.gov is still a free, open-to-everyone alternative and offers both search capability and exporting of contract award data to Excel/csv.When signed into SAM, the previous ezSearch functionality is in, as suggested by formerfed, the Contracting domain, but specifically within the Contract Awards subdomain. “How” you search the data is dramatically different in this new interface. You will just have to experiment with it, learn the idiosyncrasies of the new tool, and understand and accept the layout of the search results. Within Contract Awards, once you narrow down your search using the parameter filters on the left-hand side, you can Download the results to Excel/csv (or pdf) by clicking on the Actions button (with the 3 stacked dots) near the upper right-hand portion of the site. You can also save your searches using the Actions button, if you have recurring needs for the same types of information. If the Contract Awards search and output results are not good enough in comparison to what you enjoyed about ezSearch, then you might need to buckle up and learn to use the Award/IDV Information Report tool within the Data Bank by selecting the Ad Hoc Report Type. This offers maximum search granularity and output capability, and once mastered, you may not need or want to use anything else.Good luck. Lots of tools and options still available. RIP ezSearch.Wayne Report
March 10Mar 10 comment_98404 FPDS has been replaced with:usaspending.gov, which shows the FPDS data with a modern interface. It has keyword search. You can export results as a file.sam.gov has a much more powerful FPDS report builder. I have a GVT account, not familiar with the public version. Here is me searching for the keyword 'spaghetti' on usaspending.gov. This also works with partial contract numbers. Report

Thanks for letting me, and thanks for the input. Report
