I am a former civilian VA employee. While working for the Charleston Consolidated Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP)I managed the Generic Inventory Packaging program and with Ralph Johnson VA I was a Purchasing Agent. I spent quite a bit of time trying to break into the Contracting field but never saw any light of day during that time (2015-2017). I have a College degree in Education and some Business courses towards my Masters but have been an avid student of Contracting and the FAR. I've been away from the VA for a while now but would love to know how can I pursue a career in Contracting still?
