H. R. 8325 - Preventing Personal Conflicts of Interest in Federal Acquisition Act

In my personal experience, observation  and knowledge of certain programs and source selections, the current standards were either very weak or largely ignored or government personnel apparently looked the other way.  

Just another attempt at Congress thinking more regulations, laws, and polices are needed.  I doubt this goes anywhere.  I don’t disagree with Joel’s comment because it’s often true.  But all that’s needed is stricter enforcement of what we have now.  

Congress can't enforce a law. All it can do is legislate, complain about noncompliance, and legislate some more. So that's what it does.
