Section 2366b(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended--

(1) in paragraph (3)(O), by striking ``; and'' and inserting a semicolon;

(2) in paragraph (4), by striking the period at the end and inserting ``; and''; and

(3) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

``(5) in the case of a naval vessel program, certifies
compliance with the requirements of section 8669b of this title.''.

The Senate bill contained a provision (sec. 821) that would require a certification of compliance with section 8669b of title 10, United States Code, for naval vessel programs prior to Milestone B approval.

The House amendment contained no similar provision.

The House recedes.
