TechnicallyAcceptable
Good day, Scenario: You have identified a company that is needed to perform important services and are the only ones capable, of providing there services. You utilize FAR Subpart 16.5 procedures to issue a task order under a major IDIQ and prepare justification for award. In the course of business you find out the vendor is also an 8(a), are you eligible to take credit for the 8(a) action without having done a separate offer-acceptance with SBA? ji20874
You did not do an 8(a) action, so you should not count it as one. However, your agency gets credit towards goals in as many categories as the winner qualifies under -- as I understand, a contractor who is small, woman-owned, service-disabled-veteran-owned, disadvantaged, and in a HUBZone area gets credit for all of those. Krimz
ji20874's right. Upon award reportage to FPDS-NG, you'll get credit for as many socioeconomic groups as the contractor belongs to. Kind of weird to me, but that's the way it's tracked.
