Navy_Contracting_4
What is the threshold to use a Written Acquisition Plan It depends on which agency you work for. In DoD, the thresholds are $10 million (total costs for all contracts) for development, and $25 million (total costs for all contracts) for production or services. LindaK
Navy: I think you meant -- "Acquisitions for production or services when the total cost of all contracts for the acquisition program is estimated at $50 million or more for all years or $25 million or more for any fiscal year"... Anyone know how an acquisition for production is defined? Acquisition for services is easy, but I've been curious about why the term "acquisition for production" is used? I think it's hard to define, may purposefully so.
Vbus
FAR 7.103 Agency-head responsibilities. The agency head or a designee shall prescribe procedures for? ... (d) Establishing criteria and thresholds at which increasingly greater detail and formality in the planning process is required as the acquisition becomes more complex and costly, specifying those cases in which a written plan shall be prepared. [underlining added] I agree with Navy, it depends on which agency.
