Guest Vern Edwards
The Air Force Times has reported that an Air Force squadron at Travis AFB has been paying $1,220 apiece for coffee mugs and has spent $56,000 for them over the past three years. https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-air-force/2018/07/09/dont-drop-that-mug-of-joe-its-worth-its-weight-in-gold/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=EBB 7.10.18 resend&utm_term=Editorial - Early Bird Brief

here_2_help
Obviously an old design for the KC-135. Does anybody know if the new KC-46 tanker will spec-out a different cup design? How much will they cost?
General.Zhukov
" Each time a handle breaks, the Air Force is forced to order a whole new cup, as replacement parts are no longer made." [Each Time a Mug Handle Breaks] Do I issue a $1,200 PO today to get a replacement and be done with it, or initiate the process to establish an alternate source, which may take months and dozens (hundreds?) of hours; hours better spent on things more consequential than non-commercial coffee mug handles? REA'n Maker
They need a depot repair BOA for their coffee mugs. The money they waste on cups that are BER must be outrageous!
