dzkk1mom Posted August 13, 2009 Report Share Posted August 13, 2009 I have a question regarding joint partnerships. We have an IDIQ that involves a joint partnership. Recently issues between the parties have arisen. Today I received a letter from one of the parties attorney stating that they are discontinuing the relationship and will not peform work on any contract associated with the other joint party. Question: Based on the IDIQ master contract being awarded to both parties as a joint partnership, it seems to me that their IDIQ award is no longer valid. Can someone with more contracting experience or joint venture experience assist me? I've looked in the FAR, at Board decisions (none that address a joint partnership being disolved). brian Posted August 25, 2009 Report Share Posted August 25, 2009 . this strikes me as a creative way to back out of a contract that isn't profitable. The Government isn't concerned with internal management (or petty squabbles) within a contractor's organization. Make that "shouldn't be."
