Please edit your post. Link no works.

edit:

perhaps: 52.216-22 Indefinite Quantity. “(d) Any order issued during the effective period of this contract and not completed within that period shall be completed by the Contractor within the time specified in the order. The contract shall govern the Contractor’s and Government’s rights and obligations with respect to that order to the same extent as if the order were completed during the contract’s effective period; provided, that the Contractor shall not be required to make any deliveries under this contract after _______________ [insert date].”

Depending upon the circumstances, the date might be bi-laterally modified.

The government could not unilaterally extend the date, as it would affect the rights of the contractor(s).

It might be able to unilaterally shorten the date, [edit: if it ] would not adversely affect the rights of the contractor(s).

Thanks Joel. Also, not sure how to maneuver back to correct link.

How about this one:

I should add that shortening the date to benefit one contractor but not others might not be possible. If there is a singular contractor and shortening the date would benefit it, consideration from the contractor might be necessary.

The question was general without any context.
