  1. I am the Contracts Manager for a small government contractor that has been in business for more than 10 years. The company has several prime contracts, as well as a number of subcontracts with the big integrators. These contracts and subcontracts are negotiated and administered by a three-person Contracts Department. Originally, the contracts management function reported directly to the president of the company. As the company grew, we hired a Chief Financial Officer and the Contracts Department began reporting to him. Yesterday I was informed that Contracts will no longer report to the CFO, but to a manager who also manages a profit center and whose contracts we administer. I have my own concerns about possible conflicts, but I would like to hear your thoughts. Jazzboy
