  1. Make sure to read the sections of Part 16 that 12.207(d) specifically calls out. Keep in mind that you will have to write a thorough justification for the use of contract types other than FFP (with or without EPA) under Part 12.
  2. Piggy-backing on MustangBob, I would consider finding a billet with another government agency before leaving the public sector entirely.
  3. SEWP can be more convenient than GSA, since they can add products and services to their contracts as needed, usually within a business day. If you want to know more about using SEWP, send me a private message.
  4. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I can answer your question. I'm hoping another, more experienced forum member can weigh in, because I'd like to see what they say.
  5. I worked in an IT procurement shop for 16 months, so I may be able to help, but I'm confused by the phrase "self-performance requirements". Could you shed some light?
  6. One item that jumped out at me after re-reading the J&A Mr. Edwards posted: If these iPads are to be used by Air Force personnel, for official Air Force business, wouldn't these devices be locked down to prevent unauthorized installation of non-DoD/USAF applications (games, media players, et cetera)? I know Apple provides a sysadmin tool for enterprise deployment that can curb user rights on Apple smartphones and tablets, and I believe Google provides similar software.
  7. As of today (14 October 2014), the DPAP website's version of DFARS 225.003 has been corrected. For my own edification, I checked the FARSite's version of DFARS 225.003, and it is correct as well.
