Tips for Professional Development??? I'd appreciate some advise for how to better advance in my career. I've been in the 1102 series for about 13 years now and have a robust variety of experience, very good grades and education, etc. Some how I just can't convince a selection official to give me a chance in a supervisory role. I'm heading into the second round of interviews for my supervisor's position, she is retiring. I've been with this agency since September....

Hi everyone, if you see this I haven't logged on in many years. To update you all I did get this job as a first line supervisor and it was a great seven years, then I decided to take a lateral to another agency for a non-supervisory position.
I am close to retirement now. It has been a very interesting career.
