All of us Koprince Law are experts in the field of government contracting. But Senior Associate Ian Patterson has now been recognized by Congress for his prowess in the field, as he will testify before Congress on June 24. Read on for the details on this exciting event.

Ian will provide expert testimony before the House of Representative’s Small Business Committee at a hearing entitled An Overview of the Dynamic Between the Defense Production Act and Small Contractors held by the Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure. Ian’s testimony is set for June 24 at noon central and he’ll discuss contracting under the Defense Production Act, including the role that small businesses can play.

Ian wrote about the Defense Production Act and the role of small businesses for SmallGovCon back in March as part of our COVID-19 Contractors’ Toolkit. In fact, he spearheaded our efforts to collect information useful to federal contractors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ian indicated that this was his first time speaking before Congress. However, he’s welcoming the opportunity to discuss how small businesses can be active players in the COVID-19 response. He hopes his insights on the Defense Production Act and its small business considerations can provide some food for thought to law makers on how to leverage the nation’s small businesses in this time of national crisis.

Be sure to check out the live coverage on the Committee’s website and YouTube channel. If you have other questions, you can contact Ian here.
